Who can register?

Before you can vote, you need to register (sign up).
It’s free!

You can register if you are:

  • A U.S. citizen.

  • At least 18 years old by the next election.

  • Not serving time for a felony or still on parole.

Did you know?

  • You do not have to have an address to vote. If you are homeless, you can put down a shelter address or a clear description of your location.

  • You do not have to be able to read or write English to vote – you can have someone help you with your ballot. In many counties, ballots are available in other languages. Click the link to download a printable list of counties that offer bilingual election materials.

  • Someone can get the form for you and help you fill it out – but only you can sign your form.
