Massachusetts
The Massachusetts Alliance for Adult Literacy is an organization run by
adult learners in that state. Mass AAL now has its own Web site. Go to

more about this active group.
New Jersey
On September 26th, adult learners in New Jersey will be traveling to the
state capital, Trenton, to meet elected officials. The learners will join
adult education teachers and program directors in this special legislative
luncheon. It is being organized by Literacy Volunteers of America –
New Jersey and the New Jersey Association for Lifelong Learning. This
is an opportunity for supporters of adult education to educate state officials
about the need to support adult literacy efforts.
