Learner Members Elect New Board
(Posted February, 2002)

In January, the adult learner members of VALUE elected a new board. Seven candidates from around the U.S. ran as candidates.

The following people were elected: Pat Blackwell, Ed Castor, and Annette Sessions (re-elected) and Faye Combs and Eartha Johnson (new board members elected for the first time).

The 2002 board is now composed of these thirteen adult learner leaders from nine states:

  • Darlene Garcia (California)
  • Kitty Gilane (Wisconsin)
  • Calvin Miles (New York)
  • Annette Sessions (Connecticut)
  • Dale Sherman (Ohio)
  • Nancy Shields (Delaware)
  • Donna Swain (Massachusetts)
  • Emma Torrez (California)
  • Faye Combs (California)
  • Eartha Johnson (Illinois)

Congratulations to those who were elected and to the other candidates (Adrien Durenleau from Vermont and Odessa Whiters from Pennsylvania) who also ran in the elections. VALUE thanks you for your volunteer efforts and leadership.
