Site for Planning Meeting:
A Message from Past President Archie Willard

VALUE is looking at providing learner leadership training. Literacy needs leadership from adult learners throughout the field. There is a lack of adult learner leaders with experience in our country. Experience-wise, on the local level there are good leaders and on the state level there are a few good leaders, but on the national level there are even fewer adult learner leaders with any experience.
There is a lot of potential out there for learners to become leaders. We need to work with adult learners to help them to be able to work on all levels. VALUE is planning to have a leadership planning meeting next spring to develop adult learner leadership training. We are looking for a place to have this meeting.
