VALUE Seeks Trainers for Leadership Workshops

VALUE is currently seeking experienced adult learner leaders to train other adult learners in leadership skills.
We are planning to run workshops at national and state adult education conferences. Those workshops will enable adult learners to serve as leaders in their education programs, communities, and states.
Our learner leadership workshops will focus on topics like:
a. Forming and running a student organization.
b. Public speaking.
c. Communicating with policy makers and funders.
d. Recruiting new learners and helping them stay in the program.
e. Using the Internet.
f. Running a student support group.
g. Organizing a conference for adult learners.
We are seeking adult learners who have already developed leadership skills to serve as the trainers in these workshops. We are looking for adult learners who:
- Know the topic (For example, our trainers need to know how to form a student organization, or speak in public, or communicate with policy makers . . . )
- Are good facilitators.
- Are available to go to national and state conferences.
By running these adult learner leadership workshops around the country, VALUE hopes to expand the numbers of adults who take on leadership roles inside and outside their education programs.
We hope to have funds to cover the travel expenses of our trainers and, if possible, provide a modest fee to the trainers.
We invite experienced adult learner leaders to complete the following

that you will be selected to be a trainer, but we will put your name onto
our roster of trainers in case we are called on to run a workshop on your
preferred topics.
