Skills for the Workplace

Career preparation/advancement modules will be offered throughout the year to adults and alternative students. One module, "Learning a Living," will be geared to first-time job seekers. Another module, "Career Transitions," will target individuals seeking to reenter or advance in the workplace. Both three-week modules will include units on transferable skills, the job search, resumé writing, networking, and interviewing. The final module, called "Owning Your Own Business," is designed for adults interested in entrepreneurship. Participants in this mini-course will be provided with practical suggestions for owning a business.
