![]() The State Literacy Regional Resource Center at Rancho Santiago College in Santa Ana serves Orange County and adjacent areas between Los Angeles and San Diego. Rancho Santiago College has a large Continuing Education Division that provides adult literacy and educational services to approximately 19, 000 students. Family literacy will be a major thrust in the 1996-1997 school year.
This State Literacy Regional Resource Center is housed at the Centennial Education Center, one of the three campus sites of Rancho Santiago College. SLRRC provides staff development workshops and opportunities for classroom observations of ABE and ESL classes. We also maintain a library of literacy materials appropriate for adults that include videos and books for check out and software for previewing. The hours of the Resource Center are from 7:30 am to 8:30 pm Monday through Thursday. The Center is closed Fridays until August 30. Centennial Education Center has a full service Citizenship Center. Take either the 5 or 57 Freeways south to the 22 Freeway. Go west on the 22 Freeway for about a mile to the Haster off-ramp. Turn left on Haster for a block, left again on Garden Grove Blvd. for a block, and right on Fairview for about 4 miles south to Edinger. Turn right on Edinger and make a left turn into CEC at the first signal.
Take the 91 Freeway to the 57 Freeway, and then go south on the 57 Freeway. Follow the directions given above from this point on.
Take the 405 Freeway south to the Fairview exit. Go north approximately 3 miles on Fairview to Edinger. Turn left on Edinger and make a left turn into CEC at the first signal.
Take the 5 Freeway north. Turn onto the 405 Freeway north from the
5 Freeway at the El Toro Y and proceed on the 405 Freeway to the
Fairview Exit. Go north approximately 3 miles on Fairview to
Edinger. Turn left on Edinger and make a left turn into CEC at the
first signal. |
