Dear Fellow Students:

The Merced Regional Resource Center is pleased to announce our first Adult Learner Conference to be held at Merced East Campus on Saturday, May 3, 1997. This conference will provide an opportunity for learners within our region (from Stockton to Bakersfield) to begin to take an active, decision-making role in our learning. The thrust of the conference is to involve us in becoming more productive citizens and community participants/workers, and independent learners. This will be a real opportunity for all of us to view ourselves as leaders!

So far, we've had two (2) general committee meetings on February 6 and 20. In our first meeting, we selected the following conference topice of interest:

During our second meeting on February 20, we formed separate committees to address the various functions and responsibilitites needed for planning our conference.

The meeting will start at 10:00 a.m. and will last until 12 noon. Refreshments will be provided. We really want you to become a part of this exciting time!
