Using only this document provided, tell why this adult should receive an award by addressing the following:

1. Describe the learner's attendance in the literacy program and consistency of effort over time. (25 points)
2. What personal goals did the learner set and how and when did he/she reach them? (20 points)
3. Describe any difficult or unusual barriers/challenges which the learner overcame in his/her efforts to improve in literacy. (15 points)
4. How did this learner help or support other literacy students in their literacy efforts? (10 points)
5. Describe how this learner served as a literacy advocate in his/her community. (10 points)
6. Have the learner tell his/her own story in his/her own words as to why he/she sought literacy services. If the learner can write, have him/her write the story. If not, a staff may write the words of the learner. (20 points)
