Review last class objectives and vocabulary. Use word attack skills while introducing vocabulary

While viewing the vocabulary be sure to point out base words, suffixes, and prefixes. Use of vocabulary outside of class should be assigned

Be sure to explain how to play charades and pictionary. Never assume that class members will know how to play these games.

Reading the vocabulary and discussing it will reinforce vocabulary skills.

Point out the base words in vocabulary words.

Parents should be instructed to use the same word attack skills at home that are used in class. This will improve English skills.

Through understanding of acceptance of behaviors, various means of compromise will be used. Through compromise youth learn to navigate through traumas, tragedies, and difficult situations. Parents will be able to accept behavior and compromise which will enable youth to communicate better.
