While viewing the vocabulary be sure to point out base words, suffixes, and prefixes. Use of vocabulary outside of class should be assigned.

Review reinforces learning. This will allow parents to do self-exploration of the topic and objectives.

Parents should be instructed to use the same word attack skills at home that are used in class. This will improve English skills.

Reading the vocabulary and discussing it will reinforce vocabulary skills.

Distribute to class members the handout describing parenting styles. Establish the types of parenting and which type our parents used.

Discussion of our past experiences will enlighten class members as to the type of parenting our parents used.

Handout can be used in the home with family members this will improve reading skills and enable communication between family members. Resource books will improve reading skills and parenting skills.

Survey will help class members establish what type of parenting style they are using.

Assign role play of parenting styles

Role-play the overindulgent parent, the controlling parent, and the balanced parent.

Have children take parenting role and parents act as the child. This will enlighten both parties as to parenting styles used at home.

Review objectives of this class and present topics and objectives for next class.
