has been working very hard on developing materials for his class. Sometimes
he comes into work 2 hours before class and often spends his weekend
creating lesson plans. Other teachers just use textbooks and don't do
anything new or creative. Lou's supervisor just asked him to make a
presentation and share all of his materials with the other staff.
How might Lou feel? Why?
Lou is in his late 20's. His students range from 16-24. One of the women
is very attractive and often stays late for class. They often spend
time talking about social topics. She will have her GED within the next
two weeks. The new Malcolm X movie just came out and this student
has suggested that they go to see it.
Lou's supervisor just got a grant to start up a recreation program.
His supervisor asks him if he would have time to help him develop it.
It would be extra work for him and there would not be any pay.
It's Christmas and Lou's students have decided that they would like
to have a Christmas party. Lou says that it can be at his house. Everyone
shows up and brings
some food. Some of the students bring eggnog and rum.
has a student who has been absent 9 times. This student has done all
the homework and has passed all of the tests. This student has missed
a lot of time because he has been having a lot of family/legal problems.
Two of Lou's students are arguing about something that happened at the
dance last Friday night. Lou tells them to be quiet. They swear and
tell Lou to stay out of it.
Write about a time when
you or someone you know broke a policy of some sort.
