About the November 2, 2004 General Election

Candidates

These elected offices are being voted on in the November 2, 2004 General Election:

• U.S. President and Vice President
• U.S. Senate
• U.S. House of Representatives (Congressperson)
• California State Senate
• California State Assembly       

You can vote for any candidate you choose, even if they are not with the political party you are signed up with.

Propositions

This election also includes proposed laws called “propositions.” The Easy Voter Guide covers 16 statewide propositions that would affect state law.

	Remember: You do not have to vote on everything. Choose the candidates and issues you care about, learn more about them and just vote for those.
