About the
Easy Voter Guide Project

Original Easy Voter Project Team, 1994

The Easy Voter Guide Project is dedicated to the idea that all people should have access to nonpartisan information about the why, how and what of voting and other forms of civic involvement.

Begun in California in 1994, the Easy Voter Guide is also available now in Nevada. We encourage expansion of this project to other states.

Research

Easy Voter Guide Project materials are based on community research about barriers to participation and motivations to get involved.

Team

The Easy Voter Guide Project has been developed by Common Knowledge in partnership with committees of community members. This Easy Voter website is designed, hosted and maintained by Literacyworks.

Sponsors

The Easy Voter Guide Project is a collaboration of the League of Women Voters of California Education Fund, the California State Library and the California Secretary of State's Office. Additional support has been generously provided by The James Irvine Foundation and the San Francisco Foundation.
