California State Library Foundation The California State Library Foundation serves as fiscal agent for the Governors Book Fund. The Foundation is a 501(c)3 (private, non-profit) organization, which, among other things, provides programs in support of literacy. The Fund will be administered as part of the Foundations programs. Initially staff from the California State Library (CSL) will assist the Governors Book Fund in the daily development and administration of its programmatic components and will create, review and recommend grant applications which meet the criteria set by the Fund Advisory Board. This Advisory Board will review the accepted applications and recommend recipients to the Foundation Board. New Fund components may be added upon the recommendation of the First Lady or the Fund Board if resources are available. California State Library Foundation (Donations should be made payable
